New blog, new day...free beer

Well today is a normal day.  The kids alternate between playing and fighting.  I have spent the afternoon researching how to paint Iz's room.  We are going to start painting it this weekend b/c her flooring will be here on Monday.  We hope to have it all finished by the end of labor day.  We did Andrew's a few weeks ago, we changed his room color and pulled up his nasty carpet and put down hardwood.  Which I wasn't to sure of until I have realized it stays MUCH CLEANER!  Hopefully Iz's will follow suit.  We also have to finish painting her dresser.  It has been half painted since she was born, but we bought a paint sprayer so it should go much quicker this time.
Then the only two rooms left will be the master bedroom and master bath.  We have already bought the paint for the bedroom and the bath, and have even got the tile for the bathroom.  I figure as soon as Iz's room is done we'll start tearing out the bathroom so we can get the flooring pulled up, the room painted, the floor tiled, and the pedestal sink put in.
After that we will paint our room
then finally finish the small amount of tile that goes in the coat closet and in the laundry area, stack the dryers, and build a laundry folding area beside the dryer.

-----All this has to be done by christmas.
Anyone want to help???  free beer??

Somedays it sucks

Some days are worse than others.  You know what I'm talking about...not the kind of day where something major bad is going wrong, but days when a funk is around.  Well today is my funk day.  I am still in my pj's and functioning, but I really just want to listen to sad music and sit in a wallow of pity.  For those of you who do not know we have been having problems getting pregnant.  Its been well over a year of trying, and while a year isn't very long in the medical world, when you add to the year a miscarriage and the fact I apparently have stopped ovulating on my own, it is a very long time.  A long time of ups and downs, popping pills, hormones, needles, tests, it all sucks.  I know the reason I am so funky today is because I have finished my round of progesterone.  For those of you who have failed health class progesterone is what the body produces after ovulating.  So b/c the test revealed I didn't ovulate last month I have to now trick my body into thinking it actually did ovulate.  So add another pill to my stash for 5 days. and then wait for the progesterone to drop and bring on my period.  The I get to start what will be round 4 of clomid. Clomid brings on all sorts of mood swings too, so its a bumpy ride around here.  It suck it suck its sucks it sucks it suck it sucks (maybe I think if I keep saying it sucks it will turn out differently, who knows?)
So anyway new dr this month.  one I have to drive over an hour to see.  anyway if I end up ovulating this month but I don't get pregnant then we are going to be doing a dye test.  Apparently they force a solution into my uterus and do x-rays to see if my tubs are blocked or if my previous c-sections/d&c did any damage that is preventing me from becoming pregnant.
It sucks It sucks..
and its getting old. really fast.
So anyway today my kids are being subjected to one of those days my sister and I used to do....loud music on the stereo and scrubbing every surface in sight.  I think after I am done cleaning I might break the sewing machine and sew.   Or maybe paint...I haven't painted in a while.  And I think homemade fajita's so I can test out our tortilla press might be good for dinner
One last thing....it sucks

What a great national night out

Well I was debating on us going this year.  Last year it was great, but this year the heat index at 5pm was going to be 105.  Well, we decided to go and  it was HOT Iz fell asleep on the way there and then slept in her stroller the first 30 minutes.  SO then there is this thing the police do.  They give away 120 bikes of various sizes.  You have to stand in line for a ticket, then put your ticket in the box of the bike you want and then every hour starting at 6:30 they draw the winner (you have to be present)  They do 40 or so bikes each hour so you have to stand in line all over again if you don't win one during the first draw.  Well last year the line was about a mile long so we didn't even mess with it.  This year the national night out started at 6 and we got there as soon as it started.  We decided to walk down around the bike booth first, when we got there there was hardly anyone in line so we decided to do it.  We got our tickets (one for Iz and one for Andrew) and they had seven 12" bikes in both girls and boys.  I put Iz's ticket in 4 (there was 1 other ticket in there) and Andrew put his in 3.  We walked around till it was time for the draw....and Andrew's number got called!  DH took Iz with him up to get the bike and to register it with the police.  Then they called the next one and Iz won a bike too!  SO here I am trying to get through the crowd with 2 strollers and a 3 year old crying b/c his daddy left to go up front.  One of the Police men came up to me and asked if my husband had just come up there with a little girl, I told him yes and he said if you'll give me your ticket I'll have him register the second bike so you don't have to get the 2 strollers up there (Thank God!)  So not only did they get bikes, but target furnished them with helmets too!.  I took their pictures with their bikes so I can send thank you cards to the business that sponsored their bikes.  Now here's the thing...we had plannedon getting Andrew a bike for christmas...my mom said I should just put the bike away and give it to him for christmas, but trust me he's not going to forget his new bike (he even wanted to sleep with the helmet)  And Iz we actually got her a tricycle for her birthday, so we think we are going to let her keep her helmet and give her the tricycle still for her birthday and then give her the bike for christmas.  Now we have to come up with a big gift for Andrew for Christmas...lmbo!
Now for Pictures:

Yeah - so I am in trouble

ok so I have a food that I love to eat...cake batter...yeah I know raw eggs..yada yada.  Well I keep this craving at bay b/c I never buy cake mixes.  so most of the time my craving is at 9 pm and I don't want to get out of my PJ's and run to the store just to satisfy my craving (ok that's not the reason...I do not want to bake at 9pm at night and then have to clean up....and I couldn't see all the extra batter go to waste b/c after a tablespoon my craving is cured.)
So today The kids and I were going to make Mike cupcakes for our picnic on Sunday. (Tomorrow I am getting my hair colored/cut/pedi/massage so not cooking cupcakes tomorrow)
So I get up only to realize Mike took the Tahoe to work...no big deal except I HAVE NO CAKE MIX.  SO I do my usual allrecipes.com search (and for those of you who have never used the site...IT ROCKS!)  and I find one titled easy white cake recipe.  SO I tried it...did the whole cake thing from scratch...and...OMG the batter tasted like ice cream, the kids loved it too! (oh and I used eggs that had been pasturized so no worries there).  Anyway it made 12 exactly (minus our tasting portion) and now they are baking in the oven.
This is now my downfall...b/c I am a math wiz (LMBO)  Anytime I am now hungry at 9pm I can cut the recipe in to 1/4 or heck 1/8th and eat my small portion good right...heck no...like I need to eat cake batter on a whim!

Crafty now aren't we...

I was bored last night, so I decided to knit Iz a hat for winter....
The actual color is not bright orange...more of a harvest orange, but the pictures show it much brighter...I didn't have a pattern, but I knew most of the knitting basics. She is wearing it right now and won't take it off...lol...I still need to get rid of the extra threads hanging but here it is :) Andrew saw it and told me he wants one too...I think I am going to do a strawberry next...stay tuned!

Serious - please read about crack abuse

Yes, apparently there is an epidemic of crack in this town.  Dec 23rd (a day etched in my mind that I would love to erase, but I am afraid my mind is now scarred for life)  Me, My sister, and DH went to the DECA (grocery store on base) to buy a ham and other things for dinner the next night.  I had to go "potty" actually I had a case of the runs and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to the bathroom in time, thus creating the problem of sending DH out to the exchange to buy me new clothes...but I did make it and before I got to the door I yelled to DH...go ahead and check out I'll meet you up front.  SO I finish my business and Figured that as long as I was in the bathroom DH probably had made it up through the lenghty line and was at a checkout stand, so instead of snaking myself through the store to look for him I instead walked in front of the cash registers...but as I was making the last turn through the maze of seasonal items that were in between myself and the registers somethigng caught my eye.  ya know what I mean...kinda like something shiny catching the sun and hitting you in the face.  I said to myself...that isn't what I think it is...so stupid me looked again and low and behold was a worker, in his late 20's, bending over putting cases of cans in a pile...and his crack.  Now you must say to yourself..."now look Missy (yeah I know sounds funny...mom used to say to my sister too and it was annoying)...anyway...now missy is it proper to mention this guy and his crack as if it were two seperate intities.  and this is where I would tell you...uhm if he is showing a full 6 inches of his crack it is!  I was mortified...what was even worse is that he was by the door it was cold, and  in my time walking to get around him( I did slow to make sure it wasn't a joke) he bent over a few more times....  which leads me to a point...

1.  I know when my crack is showing...even a tip...how do you not notice 6 inches of crack?

2.  My sister claimed it couldn't be that low, and I swear another centimeter and I would have seen not only hairy crack but what I can only assume to be a hairy scrotal sack too.

3.  I didnt' know what to do....If I'd been a smudge braver, and had a pen or pencil I'd have stuck it in his cheeks.  But I am not, but then I got mad...he was wearing a belt...but he had his pants low and you KWIM....so DH wants me to write DECA a letter...WDYT?? I mean the place was full of kids and old ladies...and maybe I should have mentioned it too him but not only was I shocked, but he had a coworker beside him...why didn't they tell him?  I was too embarassed...

Oh and why didn't I mention this earlier?  Ah I got busy...plus I had almost pushed it a little into the back of my mind until at wal-mart today I saw a girl in her early 20's who I can only assume put her jeans on and got into the tub and soaked for a week.... and yes she had 2 inches of crack in the back.  But of course ( and I am not being mean either) once she turned around and I saw her It looked like butt crack wasn't the only crack in her system...anyway...my vent ...my rant...enjoy :)
